The invention provides glass curtain wall mounting equipment and a glass curtain wall mounting method. The problems that a glass curtain wall swings in air violently when hoisted, the work efficiency is low and potential safety hazards exist are solved. According to a scheme, the glass curtain wall mounting equipment comprises a hoisting portion and a ground conveying portion, wherein the hoisting portion comprises a main winch, a position traction winch, a traction pulley track, a main hoist steering pulley subassembly, a traction steering pulley subassembly and a main hoist pulley subassembly which are arranged on the top of a building; the main hoist pulley subassembly is slidably connected with a traction track via rollers; the ground conveying portion comprises a glass curtain wall hoisting clamp, a track bearing trolley and a bearing track; and the bearing track is connected to the ground. According to the glass curtain wall mounting method in the scheme, a main winch rope is in a vertical hoisting state via the main hoist steering pulley subassembly and the main hoist pulley subassembly, the position traction winch draws the main hoist pulley subassembly on the traction pulley track via the traction steering pulley subassembly, a glass curtain wall on the track bearing trolley on the ground is fixedly connected with a glass curtain wall hoisting fixture, and the glass curtain wall hoisting clamp is connected with the main winch rope. The glass curtain wall mounting equipment swings in air slightly, is mounted and positioned accurately, and can be mounted continuously.
