The invention discloses a guardrail for building construction. The guardrail comprises a first crossbeam, a second crossbeam, a first supporting column and a second supporting column, wherein connecting rods are connected between the first and second crossbeams; the second crossbeam is transversely arranged on the first and second supporting columns; two first fixing blocks are symmetrically arranged on two sides of the first crossbeam; first mounting plates are arranged on the first fixing blocks in a matched manner; two second fixing blocks are symmetrically arranged on two sides of the second crossbeam; second mounting plates are arranged on the second fixing blocks in a matched manner; a first supporting block is arranged under the first supporting column; a second supporting block is arranged under the second supporting column; a fixing plate is transversely arranged on the first and second supporting columns, and blow the second crossbeam; fixing screws are arranged on the fixing plate, penetrate through the fixing plate, and extend to the lower parts of the first and second supporting blocks. The guardrail is high in shock resistance, firm in fixing, wide in application range and long in service life.
