The invention relates to a herringbone ladder, in particular to a herringbone ladder with a handrail. The herringbone ladder comprises two ladder frames which are hinged, ladder surfaces connected on the ladder frames, a supporting plate connected on the side faces of the ladder frames and rubber pads connected at the bottoms of the ladder frames, round holes are formed in the side face of one ladder frame, sliding groves are formed in the other ladder frame on the same side, more than two round holes are formed in each of the ladder frames and the supporting plate, the supporting plate is connected with the round holes and the sliding grooves through bolts respectively, a straight plate in bolt connection with the supporting plate is arranged on the same, the handrail is arranged at the top end of the straight plate, a hook is arranged on the side face of the straight plate, and a nut is arranged on each bolt. The herringbone ladder has the advantages that when standing at a higher position of the ladder, construction personnel can adjust height of the handrail for the convenience of holding and pulling, and shaking caused by the fact that the construction personnel stands unstably when center of gravity is high can be avoided, so that potential safety hazards are eliminated.
