The invention discloses a portable ladder which comprises a ladder body (1) and a plurality of pedal plates (2), wherein the bottom of each pedal plate (2) is provided with at least two inward sunk fixing grooves (3). According to the invention, the ladder can be carried by clamping or fastening the fixing grooves of the pedal plates, the fixing mode is simple, and the ladder can not move by the fixing mode.
