Novel ultra-light piping insulation material and preparation method thereof
The invention discloses a novel ultra-light piping insulation material and a preparation method thereof. The material is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 17.5 to 22.5 percent of quartz powder, 18.2 to 20.1 percent of quick lime, 41.3 to 43.1 percent of water, 8.1 to 9.2 percent of red mud, 0.1 to 0.12 percent of additives, 6.1 to 7.2 percent of bentonite, 0.2 to 0.3 percent of reinforced fibers and 0.1 to 0.15 percent of a fiber dispersing agent; the preparation steps of the material comprises: (a) raw material selection;(b) slurry preparation; (c) jellifying; (d) compression moulding; (e) steam curing; (f) drying; (g) product test and insulation pipe manufacturing; (h) finished product packing. According to the material and the method, the red mud is added into the composition of the raw material, so the cost for preparing the insulation pipe is reduced; by adding the filtered red mud gradually into a reaction still while stirring, the sides, corners, and the edges of a compression molded product are not damaged, the appearance quality of the product is improved, the prepared insulation material has the advantages of low heat conductivity coefficient, high strength, low density, and easiness in processing, and the pipe cannot be corroded.
