The invention provides a bridge of an automatic cleaning type expansion joint device provided with steel brushes. The automatic cleaning type expansion joint device comprises a left half frame piece (3), a right half frame piece (4), an upper elastic covering piece (62) and a lower elastic covering piece (61), wherein the upper elastic covering piece (62) and the lower elastic covering piece (61) are located between the left half frame piece (3) and the right half frame piece (4), and the upper elastic covering piece (62) and the lower elastic covering piece (61) are used for covering an expansion joint between the left half frame piece (3) and the right half frame piece (4) on the road surface of the bridge and below the road surface of the bridge; a first movable cleaning plate component (9) and a second movable cleaning plate component (8) which are arranged in the forward-backward direction are arranged in cavities (30,40) formed by the left half frame piece (3), the right half frame piece (4), the upper elastic covering piece (62) and the lower elastic covering piece (61) respectively.
