The invention discloses a tap water still standing device, relates to a tap water purification device, and aims to solve the technical problem that household tap water contains chlorine which cannot be volatilized before use. The tap water still standing device comprises a water jar and a water inlet pipe, wherein the water jar comprises a left jar body and a right jar body which are communicated with each other; a water outlet communicated with the external world is formed in the left jar body; the right wall of the right jar body is arranged vertically; a water inlet is formed in the upper part of the right wall of the right jar body; a breather hole is also formed in the right wall of the right jar body and above the water inlet; a guide plate is arranged at the upper part of the right jar body in an inclined manner, and is connected with the upper part of the right wall of the right jar body, so as to form a jar roof; a floating block floats on the liquid level of the right jar body; the cross section of the floating block is a triangle of which the bevel edge is parallel with the guide plate, and one right-angle edge is in contact with the liquid level, so that household tap water is allowed to stand still before use automatically.
