The invention relates to a diatomite building material, which comprises the following raw materials by weight part: 80-120 parts of diatomite, 40-85 parts of foamed plastic particles, 30-45 parts of thickening agent and 15-25 parts of waterproof agent. The diatomite building material has the following advantages that 1)the cost of the raw materials in a whole technical scheme is low, production technology is simple, 2)the performance of the diatomite building material is excellent, and the diatomite building material can satisfy requirements of each industry.
