The invention relates to the technical field of ceramic manufacturing, especially to a functional ceramic ball capable of emitting negative oxygen ions and far infrared rays for a long time, converting water molecular groups and absorbing harmful residues in tea. The ceramic ball is characterized by mainly comprising 18.5% of diatomite, 19% of six-ring stone, 15% of rectorite, 37.5% of Chinese medical stone, 6% of zeolite and 4% of tourmalinite. The ceramic ball provided by the invention appears to be brown-red and is capable of emitting negative oxygen ions and far infrared rays for a long time, converting water molecular groups, resisting and killing bacteria, absorbing heavy metals like lead, chromium and nickel and trace residual pesticides in tea and resisting and killing mould and carcinogenetic bacteria which are dissolved out due to improper storage of stale tea.
