The invention discloses a method for preparing kieselguhr porous thermal insulation material. The method includes the following steps: mixing and uniformly stirring polypropylene, silicate, kieselguhr and toluene diisocyanate in an agitator; transferring the mixture to a reaction still; adding butyl rubber and epoxy chloropropane; heating the mixture to 70-80 DEG C, and stirring for 20-30 min, and then cooling the mixture to 50-60 DEG C; then adding acetic anhydride, and continuing stirring; heating the obtained mixture to 60-70 DEG C at the vacuum condition; stirring for 20-30 min, adding zeolite; continuing stirring for 40-60 DEG C; cooling the mixture to the room temperature; finally, performing calendaring molding on the mixture, so as to obtain the kieselguhr porous thermal insulation material. According to the invention, the kieselguhr porous thermal insulation material is excellent in performance, complete, compact, and excellent in elasticity, pressure resistance, sound insulation and anti-permeability; besides, the preparation technological process is short, the equipment is simple and easy to operate, and the obtained product is wide in application range and high in added value, and protects the environment.
