The invention discloses a highway height limiting device. The device comprises two stand columns arranged on the ground and a height limiting component arranged between the two stand columns, wherein a round connecting hole is formed in each stand column, the height limiting component comprises a first cross bar, round connecting ends located in the round connecting holes are arranged at the two ends of the first cross bar, and damping components for resisting the rotation of the corresponding round connecting end are arranged on the wall of each round connecting hole. By the adoption of the highway height limiting device, buffering can be achieved when a vehicle collides with the device, impact strength can be reduced, casualties and vehicle damage can be avoided, or the number of casualties and vehicle damage degree can be reduced, and damage degree can be reduced after the height limiting device is impacted so that maintaining time can be shortened and maintaining cost can be reduced.
