The invention discloses a heat insulation outer wall construction method, which comprises the following steps of: (1) fixing a plurality of support blocks with certain thickness onto an outer wall in a distributive way; and (2) then coating prepared heat insulation mortar on the outer wall surface on the periphery of the support blocks, so that the support blocks and the heat insulation mortar become an integral structure. The heat insulation wall body structure prepared by the construction method provided by the invention has the advantages that the support blocks are prepared in advance, so that the construction at the preset heat insulation thickness can be completed in one step, and the construction period is shortened.
