The invention relates to a novel metal sound absorbing wedge. The novel metal sound absorbing wedge comprises a metal framework, wherein the lower portion of the metal framework is in the shape of a cuboid, and the upper portion of the metal framework is in the shape of a triangular trapezoid, or a wedge head in the shape of a triangular trapezoid is changed into a flat head. A metal screen is arranged on the surface of the metal framework. A wedge hook is installed at the bottom of the metal framework so that the wedge can be conveniently installed in a guide rail. A foaming isolation layer is attached to the interior of the metal framework, and then interior of the metal framework is filled with sound absorbing materials or directly filled with foaming sound absorbing materials or directly filled with sound absorbing materials. According to the novel metal sound absorbing wedge, the metal framework and the metal screen can totally replace a traditional metal perforated plate structure, and compared with a metal perforated plate used for a traditional metal wedge, the metal framework and the metal screen are low in weight, higher in aperture ratio, better in sound transmitting performance, better in structural strength and flatness degree, resistant to corrosion and high temperature and low in high-frequency reflection and super-high-frequency reflection. According to the novel metal sound absorbing wedge, the metal screen can also be machined into ribs in the corresponding shapes according to the metal framework structure so that the structural strength of the wedge framework can be enhanced.
