The invention discloses a sol-gel preparation method of a Sm2O3 film from sol prepared by a peptization method. The sol-gel preparation method comprises, 1, dissolving analytically pure SmCl3.6H2O in deionized water, and adjusting pH by an ammonia-water solution so that white precipitates are obtained, 2, carrying out centrifugal washing on the white precipitates to remove excess Cl<-> and NH4<+>, 3, preparing a fluid suspension from water and the washed white precipitates, carrying out peptization on the fluid suspension by a peptization agent, and adjusting pH to 3-6 so that light blue transparent sol is obtained, and 4, dipping a washed glass substrate or silicon substrate into the sol at a constant speed, carrying out standing, fast lifting the substrate at a constant speed, carrying out drying, carrying out film coating, repeating the above processes multiple steps, putting the coated film into a muffle furnace, and carrying out calcination at a temperature of 300-500 DEG C for 1-3h to obtain the Sm2O3 film. The sol-gel preparation method has the advantages of low equipment requirement, simple processes, simple and convenient operation, low energy consumption, control easiness and good safety.
