The invention discloses an automobile roadblock which comprises a supporting frame buried underground. A cover plate flushed to the road is arranged at the top of the supporting frame and is hollow. A channel allowing a barrier cross beam to ascend and descend is reserved, and the size of the section of the channel is equivalent to that of the section of the barrier cross beam. The bottom of the barrier cross beam is fixedly connected with lifting shafts, and a drive system for controlling the lifting shafts to vertically move is arranged in the supporting frame. Guide holes are formed in the two ends of the barrier cross beam. Fixed guide columns penetrating the guide holes are arranged in the supporting frame. The automobile roadblock is convenient and fast to operate and safer and more reliable to use, and can be widely applied to toll stations, gateways of government sectors and other various places where roadblocks are necessary.
