The invention relates to a simple mechanical lock which comprises a locking base plate, a rotating shaft and a locking plate. The rotating shaft penetrates through the locking base plate. One end of the rotating shaft is provided with a lock cylinder. The lock cylinder is matched with a lock slot in the locking plate. When the rotating shaft rotates, the lock cylinder is driven to be matched with or separated from the lock slot, and therefore the unlocking or locking action is achieved. The other end of the rotating shaft penetrates out of the locking base plate, and the head of the other end of the rotating shaft is provided with a polygonal lock opening. The lock opening is provided with a corresponding key matched with the lock opening. A columnar sleeve is arranged on the outer side of the lock opening. A port of the sleeve keeps a certain distance away from the lock opening, so that the problem that the lock opening is exposed in air, thereby being prone to damage and corrosion is avoided. When the simple mechanical lock is in use, unlocking or locking can be achieved only by sleeving the lock opening with the key matched with the lock opening, then rotating the key to drive the rotating shaft to rotate and enabling the lock cylinder on the rotating shaft to be matched with or separated from the lock slot in the locking plate. The simple mechanical lock is simple in structure, low in manufacturing cost and convenient to use.
