The invention discloses an automatic door opening device after locking an ATM machine protective cabin door and a control method for the automatic door opening device. The device comprises a microphone, an audio frequency amplifying circuit, a filter circuit, an amplitude value detecting circuit, a reference power supply, a voltage comparator, a processor unit, an electronic switch circuit and an in-cabin cabin door state detecting circuit, which are sequentially connected in the cabin in series; an in-phase input end of the voltage comparator is connected with output of the amplitude value detecting circuit; an inverse-phase input end of the voltage comparator is connected with the reference power supply; the output of the reference power supply is connected with input of the processor unit; the cabin door state detecting circuit is connected with another input of the processor unit; a control end of the electronic switch circuit is connected with output end of the processor unit; and the two ends of the switch are mutually spliced with the two ends of an in-cabin door opening button respectively. The control method comprises the following steps: when the cabin door of the ATM machine protective cabin is closed and the automatic door opening device detects that child's crying is larger than 55 decibels, outputting a door opening signal to simulate the in-cabin door opening button, thereby opening the cabin door and making a trapped child get out of the ATM machine protective cabin.
