A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Lattice tower
Lattice tower is provided in the invention. The invention relates to vertical structures designed to bear high loads, more particularly lattice towers used for wind turbines and other uses, and characterized in that it comprises three metallic columns arranged in a triangle about a vertical axis of the lattice tower, each metallic column having a cross-section with a closed profile, the distance between the centres of the metallic columns being greater than 4 metres in the region of the tower base, an angle of inclination of the central longitudinal axis of each metallic column in relation to the vertical axis of the tower ranging from -1.7 to +1.7 degrees, and the height of the lattice tower being greater than 60 metres, and in that it comprises a plurality of wind bracing and auxiliary wind bracing members, as well as a support platform arranged in a region of the top of the tower.
