Dry pressing process for Nixing pottery
The invention discloses a dry pressing process for Nixing pottery. The dry pressing process comprises the following steps: (1) grinding eastern mud and western mud until the particle size is 80 to 120 meshes so as to obtain pottery clay powder; (2) adding kaolin of which the weight is 8 to 10 percent of the pottery clay powder and the particle size is 150 to 200 meshes into the pottery clay powder, adding water until the water content is 5 to 10 percent, and performing uniform mixing to obtain a blank; (3) filling a metal mold cavity with the blank, and pressing for 10 to 30s under the pressure of 30 to 40MPa to obtain a formed blank. According to the dry pressing process, a small amount of kaolin is added into conventional Nixing pottery clay, the mobility of pottery clay particles can be greatly improved, and friction forces between the pottery clay particles and between the pottery clay and a mold wall are decreased, so that the formed blank of which the density is uniform is obtained. Due to the uniform density of the formed blank, distortion and cracking are greatly reduced in a subsequent firing process, and the rate of finished products is improved.
