The invention discloses a transverse joint waterproof structure based on EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Monomer) water bars, which is characterized in that a masonry joint is arranged between a side wall and a bottom plate; the masonry joint comprises two horizontal planes and a vertical plane connected with the two horizontal planes; a grouting steel sleeve and a pouring steel sleeve are respectively arranged above the two horizontal planes of the masonry joint; the grouting steel sleeve is used for grouting cement mortar so as to form a grouting layer on the surface of the masonry joint; two EPDM water bars are respectively arranged in the two horizontal planes of the masonry joint; and four steel base plates are respectively arranged at two ends close to the two EPDM water bars.
