The invention relates to a compact connecting device for a hydraulic hoist, which comprises a hydraulic cylinder, a piston rod and a gate lug plate, wherein the gate lug plate is sheathed on the piston rod; the piston rod is connected with a first nut and a second nut through threads; the gate lug plate is positioned between the first nut and second nut; and the contact surfaces of the first nut and second nut with the gate lug plate are respectively provided with a cambered surface which is matched with the spherical surface of the gate lug plate. The compact connecting device for a hydraulic hoist has favorable connection function, is simple to manufacture, effectively reduces the structural dimension of the gate, can perform proper adjustment under the condition of mistaken installation of the hydraulic cylinder, and enhances the operation safety of the hydraulic cylinder.
