The invention discloses a greening drainage channel storing water for irrigation. The greening drainage channel comprises a drainage channel body formed in the ground in a sunken mode. The drainage channel body is a concrete water channel opened upwards, a cellular board layer is erected in the drainage channel body, a gravel filter layer is arranged on the cellular board layer, a filter net is arranged on the gravel filter layer, a soil layer is arranged on the filter net, and a plurality of water pumping wells are arranged on one side of the drainage channel body at intervals. According to the mode, a greening belt and the water drainage and storage channel are integrated so that the occupied area can be reduced; rainwater is sequentially filtered by the soil layer, the filter net and the gravel filter layer and then enters the drainage channel body to be stored; flowers and plants are planted on the soil layer, the water pumping wells are utilized for obtaining water in a manual mode or an electric mode for irrigation when the soil layer lacks water, and therefore the water conveying cost is lowered, water is saved, and the maintenance cost is lowered.
