The invention discloses a side slope drainage system. The side slope drainage system comprises a drainage tunnel formed inside a side slope, a drainage hole is formed in the drainage tunnel, the drainage tunnel is communicated with a bottom sliding face of the side slope through lug holes and provided with a guide hole used for detecting the thickness of rock on a roof of the drainage tunnel. According to the construction method of the side slope drainage system, through the geological survey and the arrangement of the guide hole and the lug holes, the tunnel axis position of the drainage tunnel is modified progressively, the feasibility of drainage hole construction and surrounding rock geological conditions of cavitation of the drainage tunnel are guaranteed, and the drainage tunnel axis direction can be accurately determined; the lug holes can serve as drainage tunnels to drain underground water in a landslip body, and the stability of the landslip body is improved; meanwhile, the lug holes can serve as monitoring tunnels, a monitoring instrument is installed so that continuous deep deformation monitoring can be carried out; and in addition, the construction method of the side slope drainage system is simple in construction method, easy to master and easy to popularize.
