The invention discloses diatom ooze wallpaper and a preparation method thereof. The diatom ooze wallpaper comprises a wallpaper base layer; a diatom ooze layer is arranged on the front surface of the wallpaper base layer; and an ink layer is arranged on the diatom ooze layer. A preparation technology of the diatom ooze wallpaper comprises the following steps of stirring 63% of siliceousearth, 8.5% of calcium carbonate, 2.5% of titanium dioxide and 26% of aqueous binder to prepare; uniformly coating the surface of non-woven paper, a non-woven fabric or raw paper by using the mixture; and drying, printing, redrying, folding into small rolls and packing in a box to form the diatom ooze wallpaper. The technology is pollution-free and emission-free, and is easy to operate. The diatom ooze wallpaper prepared by the technology is attractive and elegant, is low in price, and is an environment-friendly novel interior decoration material.
