The invention provides a bridge anti-overturning structure and a construction method thereof, belonging to the technical field of structural engineering. The anti-overturning structure comprises steel sleeves, studs on the inner walls of the sleeves, anchor rods, elastic material pipes, high strength grouting materials and nuts, wherein the anchor rods are anchored in the prefabricated steel sleeves of cover beams through the high strength grouting materials and are combined with the nuts to together restrain the vertical displacement of an upper beam body so as to provide anti-overturning force. By adopting the anti-overturning structure in a bridge structure, the overturning of the bridge deck system can be effectively prevented under the action of eccentric load, and additional internal force caused by deformation due to concrete shrinkage and temperature effect can be avoided.
