An anchor cable dismantling method based on a shield operation area comprises steps as follows: a dismantling channel communicated with an anchor cable is excavated in a cross section of a shield interval of a shield tunneling machine, a support body made of a non-metallic material is arranged in the dismantling channel, an anchor cable part in the dismantling channel is cut off, an anchor cable part in rock and soil mass is dismantled in a pulling-out mode, and the dismantling channel is set to be at least one transverse channel excavated along a tunneling path of the shield tunneling machine. Operation is performed on the anchor cable remained in the rock and soil mass in the dismantling channel, the anchor cable is dismantled, an operator is not required to enter a front end high pressure bin of the shield tunneling machine for dismantling the anchor cable or an anchor rod, so that the work efficiency of the shield tunneling machine is improved, and the personal safety of the operator is guaranteed.
