The invention provides an adjusting method for the moisture content of an earth material mixed with gravel. The adjusting method comprises the following steps that the optimum moisture content of a fine material is determined; the optimum moisture content of a mixed material is determined; the supplementary water amount is determined; and water supplementation is conducted on site. In view of the problems that the moisture content of a high earth material core rock-fill dam mixed with the gravel is low and accordingly the earth material can not be placed on the dam directly in a large-scale hydroelectric project, the soil mechanics and experiment means are further combined, a specific quantity basis and a construction method are provided for the water supplementation of the earth material mixed with the gravel. The adjusting method for the moisture content of the earth material mixed with the gravel is detailed and orderly, and capable of solving the water supplementation problem of the earth material mixed with the gravel and providing technical support for design and construction of similar projects.
