The invention discloses a novel durable waterproofing agent. The waterproofing agent is prepared from, by weight, 450-500 parts of sodium silicate, 2-4 parts of potassium dichromate, 1-5 parts of copper sulfate, 2-9 parts of zinc stearate, 2-9 parts of calcium stearate, 30-35 parts of diatomite, 2-4 parts of aluminum powder, 1-3 parts of polyaluminum ferric chloride, 2-4 parts of talcum powder, 1-4 parts of triisopropanolamine, 1-7 parts of sodium citrate and 300-350 parts of water. The waterproofing agent disclosed in the invention has the advantages of large penetration depth and good durability, and can be used in waterproofing of roofs, basements and toilets.
