The invention discloses a drop hammer-type compaction machine, which comprises a vehicle body, and a drop hammer mechanism arranged on the front end of the vehicle. The drop hammer mechanism comprises a fixed cavity, a compaction plate arranged on the bottom of the fixed cavity, a vibration machine arranged on the compaction plate, an inner lifting mechanism support frame arranged on the top of the fixed cavity, an inner lifting mechanism with the bottom penetrating through the vibration machine and with the top installed on the inner side of the inner lifting mechanism support frame, an external force rod penetrating through the fixed cavity and with the bottom in cooperation installation of on both sides of the front of the compaction plate, an external force platform arranged on the top of external force rod, and an external guide bracket arranged on the front of the vehicle. The vehicle has a guide rod vertically arranged on the rear middle part of the force platform; the guide rod is provided with a drop hammer; a traction wire is mounted at the top of the drop hammer; and the traction wire and a traction machine are in cooperative installation. The drop hammer-type compaction machine of the invention has three compaction modes to ensure strong force on the compaction part and high pressure withstand.
