The invention provides a pole correction tool which is simple and safe, convenient to operate, lower in labor intensity of workers and high in reliability, and an operating method thereof. The pole correction tool comprises a working platform, a controller, a plurality of correction mechanisms and a plurality of centralizing mechanisms. The top of the working platform is evenly provided with a plurality of slide holes which are circularly evenly distributed. The bottom of the working platform is evenly provided with a plurality of connecting pins. The centralizing mechanisms comprise control switches and push bars. The surface of the working platform is provided with receptacles. The control switches are disposed in the receptacles and control the push bars. The push bars face a utility pole and are used for pushing the utility pole. The correction mechanisms are movably disposed in the slide holes in a one-to-one correspondence manner and are connected with the controller. The controller is connected with the control switches. Verticality of the utility pole is guaranteed, power construction quality is improved, labor is saved, time and labor are saved, and work efficiency is substantially improved.
