The invention provides a protective type hydrophilic revetment. The hydrophilic revetment used for city watercourse landscape is provided with a hydrophilic belt which is abutted against a sidewalk on a step-type parapet wall on a river bank. Through the above arrangement, the reinforcing dam of the city watercourse conforms to building requirements of urban landscape, especially the step-type parapet wall is beneficial for drowning people to go on shore.
