The invention discloses an external wall brick for an assembly-type building. The external wall brick comprises an external wall brick body which is in a right-angled-U shape, the external wall brick body comprises a body and extending ends extending out from the two ends of the body, and the thickness of the extending ends is a half of the thickness of the concaved part. Grooves are formed in the sides, away form the body, of the extending ends, right-angle triangular buckles are arranged in the grooves, and any end, except the right-angle end, of each buckle is connected with the body through a rotating shaft fixed to the corresponding extending end. Springs are further arranged in the grooves, one end of each spring abuts against the bottom of the corresponding groove, and the other end of each spring abuts against the right-angle side of the corresponding right-angle triangular buckle. Bayonets matched with the right-angle triangular buckles are formed in the sides, close to the body, of the extending ends. The ends where the right angles of the right-angle triangular buckles are located extend out of limiting sides. By means of the design, external wall bricks are connected through a plugging mode, the existing stacking type design is replaced, the previous stability is maintained, and meanwhile the transverse earthquake resisting capability is enhanced.
