The invention discloses a method for preparing an outer wall furring brick by utilizing ardealite as a raw material. Industrial waste ardealite is utilized as a main raw material for manufacturing the outer wall furring brick. After the ardealite is dried, ground and screened and dehydrated at 350-450 DEG C, 2-6% of sintering agents are added, the ardealite is evenly mixed and undergoes compression molding, and pressed blank is sintered at 950-1100 DEG C and undergoes glaze firing at 950 DEG C to obtain a glaze ardealite ceramic product serving as the outer wall furring brick. According to the method, except the dehydration treatment on the ardealite, the remaining processes are the same as ordinary clay dry pressing ceramic preparation processes, the product performance can meet the outer wall brick use requirements, and the sintering temperature is also lower than that of ordinary dry pressing ceramics. The outer wall furring brick can be produced through an existing wall and floor tile process device, the energy consumption is low, the ardealite rate is as high as over 90%, and the method is a novel approach for effectively utilizing ardealite.
