The invention relates to a drowning-preventing water storage tank comprises a water tank body and a drowning-preventing device, wherein the drowning-preventing device comprises a pedal, a water drain column, a seal element and a spring, wherein the spring is positioned between the pedal and the bottom of the water tank body, water drain hole is formed in the water tank body, the pedal is connected with the water drain column, and the water drain column is connected with the seal element. The initial state of the seal element is that the seal element is at the position of the water drain hole, and is in sealed connection with the water drain hole; when the drowning-preventing water storage tank is used, when a child steps in or falls in the drowning-preventing water storage tank, the pedal opens the seal element in the water drain hole by utilizing the gravity of the child, so that the water in the water tank body is drained through the water drain hole, and the drowning of the child is prevented.
