An improved structure of a roller shutter comprises a shutter support, a rotation releasing mechanism and a shutter coiling block. The improved structure is characterized in that the rotation releasing mechanism comprises a fixing shaft, a rotary drum, a sleeve, a spring ring and balls; a guide groove is formed in the inner side wall of the sleeve, and a sliding channel with the head and the tail communicated is formed in the surface of the rotary drum and comprises one or more functional areas; each functional area comprises a ball leading-in channel, a ball returning crossway, a ball locking crossway and a ball leading-out channel, wherein the ball locking crossway is internally provided with a ball locking notch and a ball driving notch; the balls are arranged between the guide groove in the inner side wall of the sleeve and the sliding channel, the spring ring is connected to the fixing shaft in a sleeving mode, and one end of the spring ring is connected to the rotary drum. Compared with the prior art, the improved structure of the roller shutter is simple in structure, convenient to operate and use and accurate in positioning.
