A novel alkaline refractory material comprises the components in parts by mass: 28-35 parts of magnesium oxide, 28-35 parts of calcium oxide, 5-8 parts of chromic oxide, 7-10 parts of zirconium oxide, 7-10 parts of aluminum oxide, 4-6 parts of silicon carbide, and 3-5 parts of aluminum nitride. By the technical scheme, the novel alkaline refractory material has the advantages of high refractoriness and long service life under an alkaline environment, and a refractory brick prepared from the material can resist a high temperature of more than or equal to 2300 DEG C.
