The invention further provides a preparation method of the alpha-acrylamido-omega-methoxy polyethylene glycol active macromonomer. The preparation method includes the following steps of preparation of chlorinated methoxy polyethylene glycol and preparation of the alpha-acrylamido-omega-methoxy polyethylene glycol active macromonomer. The acrylamide reaction conversion rate of the alpha-acrylamido-omega-methoxy polyethylene glycol active macromonomer prepared through the method is 95% or above.
