The present invention relates to production of a fireproof material for a plate pushing kiln. The fireproof material is characterized in that 5-10% of white fused alumina, 30-50% of fused quartz, 10-20% of semi-corundum, 1-5% of andalusite, a right amount of kaolin, and other raw materials are subjected to grinding, mixing billet preparing and high temperature sintering to prepare the fireproof material, wherein the particle size requirements of each raw material after the grinding crushing comprise that the particle size of the white fused alumina is 20-300 mesh, the particle size of the fused quartz is 5-120 mesh, the particle size of the semi-corundum is 5-120 mesh, the particle size of the andalusite is 150-300 mesh, and the particle size of the kaolin is 150-300 mesh. According to the present invention, the chemical components, the physical property, the mineral composition and the particle size distribution of various raw materials are strictly screened and controlled, the material microstructure is optimized, the mechanical strength and the thermal shock resistance of the material are improved, and the fireproof material has characteristics of good high temperature resistance, good wear resistance, high thermal shock resistance, stable quality, and long service life.
