The invention discloses a three-dimensional porous material and a preparing method thereof. The preparing method includes the steps that the three-dimensional structure of the target three-dimensional porous material is designed, and polyurethane foam with the structure the same as the structure of the target three-dimensional structure is prepared; silicon nitride powder, silicon carbide powder, silicon dioxide powder and boron nitride powder are mixed, a crylic acid ammonium water solution and a polyvinyl alcohol water solution are added, and slurry is prepared; the slurry is extruded and poured into the polyurethane foam, the polyurethane foam poured with the slurry is dried, the polyurethane foam poured with the slurry is placed in inert gas to be sintered, and a silicon nitride frame is obtained; a function material is prepared into mud, the silicon nitride frame is pressed into the mud, and the silicon nitride frame filled with the mud is obtained; pre-sintering is carried out, and the silicon nitride frame filled with the mud is put into an etchant solution; the mud frame is sintered, and the three-dimensional porous material with the structure the same as the target three-dimensional structure is obtained. The three-dimensional porous material can be prepared into a devisable complicated-shape-three-dimensional-structure porous material with various function materials as basis materials.
