The invention discloses a fireproof steel, comprising a coating and steel, wherein the coating is uniformly distributed on the outer surface of the steel. The coating is a fireproof steel paint which comprises, by mass, 16 to 30% of polyvinyl acetate resin, 7 to 14% of modified emulsion, 3 to 7% of an auxiliary agent, 30 to 40% of water and 13 to 26% of a charring agent. Thus, the fireproof steel can effectively isolate a heat source and has good fireproof performance.
