The invention relates to a building glass curtain wall automatic hoisting machine and a hoisting method. The machine comprises a hoisting frame, a hoisting frame door, isolation plates, a conveying mechanism, a positioning mechanism, buffer seats and buffer bodies, wherein the hoisting frame is of a square-frame-shaped structure, the hoisting frame door is installed on the front side surface of the left end of the hoisting frame through a hinge, the isolation plates are uniformly installed in the hoisting frame from left to right, a square groove is formed in the lower end of the hanging frame, the conveying mechanism is installed in the square groove of the hoisting frame, the positioning mechanism is installed at the rear end of the hoisting frame, each of the left side surfaces and theright side surfaces of the isolation plates is provided with the corresponding buffer seat and the two corresponding buffer bodies, and each of the left inner wall and the right inner wall of the hoisting frame is provided with the corresponding buffer seat and the two corresponding buffer bodies. The machine and the method can solve the problems that when an existing glass curtain wall is hoisted, glass curtain walls of different models cannot be protected, the placing position of the glass curtain wall cannot be flexibly adjusted when the glass curtain wall is loaded and unloaded, and the glass curtain wall is shaken without a support when being hoisted.
