The invention discloses a construction method of a steel structure beam-column connecting joint, and relates to the technical field of beam-column connection. The construction method comprises the following steps that S1, preset parts are mounted, specifically, bearing parts are preset at the joints of steel columns and a box beam; and first upper transverse partition plates are fixedly preset onthe positions, located on the upper side of first lower transverse partition plates, of the steel columns; S2, the box beam is pretreated, specifically, avoidance grooves are formed in the middles ofupper flange plates at the two ends of the box beam; S3, the box beam is pre-erected, specifically, the two ends of the box beam are fixedly connected to the bearing parts of the two steel columns correspondingly; and S4, welding operation is conducted, specifically, the avoidance grooves are penetrated through, and the box beam and the bearing parts are welded and connected in a downhand weldingmode; and a first upper gusset plate is arranged on the upper side face of the box beam, the edge of the first upper gusset plate and the upper flange plates of the box beam are welded together in a downhand welding mode, and the first upper gusset plate and the first upper transverse partition plates are connected in a downhand welding mode. The construction method has the advantage that the construction difficulty of the beam-column connecting structure can be reduced.
