The invention discloses a sliding cover structure and a water softener including the same. The sliding cover structure includes a sliding cover assembly and a top cover. An inner guide rail is arranged on the inner side surface of the sliding cover assembly. The inner guide rail extends in the sliding direction of the sliding cover assembly. A roller matched with the inner guide rail is arranged on the outer side surface of the top cover, the roller is rotatable, and the sliding cover assembly is slidable relative to the top cover through the inner guide rail and the roller. Since the roller is self-rotatable, during the sliding of the sliding cover assembly, the roller can rotate forwardly or reversely according to the sliding direction of the sliding cover assembly, thus friction betweenthe roller and the inner guide rail generated due to sliding is effectively decreased, user operation is made more convenient and labor-saving, noise caused by the sliding of the sliding cover assembly can be significantly reduced, and user experience of a user is improved. During the sliding of the sliding cover assembly, the inner guide rail and the roller are located inside the sliding cover assembly, internal hidden type sliding is realized, and thus the overall appearance of the water softener is neater and more pleasing.
