The invention discloses a novel expressway guardrail which comprises supporting columns, mounting plates, first mounting holes, top plates, anti-collision rotating cylinders, connecting blocks, connecting frames and buffer devices; each buffer device comprises a moving block, an inserting rod, a cavity, a limiting plate, a spring I, a spring II and a buffer plate which are horizontally inserted into a corresponding connecting frame; the upper end parts and the bottoms of the two connecting frames on the same horizontal line are connected through anti-collision guardrails; the two sides between each buffer plate and a corresponding anti-collision guardrail are connected through a first mounting block and a second mounting block correspondingly; a first inserting block is arranged in the middle of the other side of the first mounting block, a first inserting groove used in cooperation with the first inserting block is formed in the middle of the other side of the second mounting block,second inserting grooves are formed in the positions, located at the upper end and the bottom of the first inserting block, in the first mounting block, and second inserting blocks used in cooperationwith the second inserting grooves are arranged on the second mounting block. Compared with the prior art, the novel expressway guardrail has the advantages of being good in anti-collision effect andconvenient to assemble and install.
