The invention provides a spanning support platform for a foundation pit excavation stage and a construction method thereof, wherein the platform comprises first roadbed boxes, main beams, secondary beams and sand bag layers, and the sand bag layers, wherein the first roadbed boxes, the main beams and the secondary beams surround and cover the support, and the sand bag layers are positioned on twosides of the secondary beam and have the same height as the secondary beam; a second roadbed box laid on the tops of the secondary beam and the sand bag layers; and a slope surface connecting the topof the second roadbed box and the ground. After the construction of the spanning support platform in the foundation pit excavation stage is finished, the problem that an earthwork transfer vehicle cannot pass through the support when the earthwork under the support is not excavated can be well solved in the foundation pit enclosing excavation construction process; the earthwork excavation and lightering transportation for the deep and large foundation pit can be safely and conveniently conducted through the spanning of the support, the construction period of the excavation process of a certaindeep and large foundation pits is shortened on the premise of ensuring the safety and stability of the support, and the construction cost is saved.
