The curtain wall system comprises main body keels in anirregular shape, wherein the main body keels are fixedly connected with a building truss; the adjacent main body keels are fixedly connected through H-shaped steel beams at the 1/2 height; at least three adjacent main body keels form a plane curtain wall area, wherein the adjacent plane curtain wall areas are not in the same plane; in each plane curtain wall area, the corresponding H-shaped steelbeam divides the plane curtain wall area into an upper area and a lower area, wherein the upper area and the lower area are provided with a plurality of curtain wall units with the same width, and the curtain wall units are inserted and fixed left and right and up and down; and left stand columns of the curtain wall units in the upper areas are fixedly connected with cavities of left stand columns of the curtain wall units in the corresponding lower areas through inserting cores, and right stand columns of the curtain wall units in the upper areas are fixedly connected with cavities of rightstand columns of the curtain wall units in the corresponding lower areas through the inserting cores. According to the special-shaped transverse locking type double-sided panel unit curtain wall system and the construction method thereof, panels are large in size and irregular in shape, and high assembly precision and easy operation can be achieved.
