The invention discloses a rope loosening (rope breaking) detection device for a lifter steel wire rope. The rope loosening (rope breaking) detection device is used for detecting a rope head assembly of a lifter, and includes a seat body, a switch piece and a movable piece; the seat body is fixedly installed to a base, the switch piece is arranged on the seat body and electrically connected with apower supply of the lifter; and the movable piece is disposed between the rope head assembly and the switch part, the movable piece includes a driving part and a contact part, the contact part is arranged towards the switch piece, the driving part is used for being arranged towards the rope head assembly, the movable piece is movably mounted on the seat body in the upward and downward direction, and when a rope head extends upward to push the driving part, the contact part is driven to press the switch piece upward, so that the switch piece cuts the power supply of the lifter. After the rope head of the rope head assembly breaks or the tension changes, the movable piece presses the switch piece to cut the power supply of the lifter, accidents are prevented, and the safety of the lifter isimproved.
