The invention discloses an automobile and an opening and closing device of a charging port door thereof. The opening and closing device of the charging port door is used for opening and closing the charging port door (5), and comprises a support (1), a transmission gear assembly, a torsion spring (2) and a driving motor (12), wherein the charging port door (5) is rotatably mounted on the support (1); the transmission gear assembly is capable of driving the charging port door (5) to rotate, a driving wheel (7) of the transmission gear assembly is a gear with a toothed section and a toothless section which are arranged at intervals, and the angle corresponding to the toothed section is smaller than the rotating angle of opening and closing of the charging port door (5); the first end of thetorsion spring (2) is hinged to the support (1), the second end of the torsion spring (2) rotates synchronously with the charging port door (5), and in the rotating process of the charging port door (5), the distance between the first end and the second end of the torsion spring (2) is decreased first and then increased; and the driving motor (12) drive the driving wheel (7) to rotate. The openingand closing device not only can realize manual opening and closing of the charging port door, but also can realize electric opening and closing of the charging port door.
