The invention relates to a liquid alkali-free accelerator and preparation thereof. The accelerator is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 100 parts of aluminum sulfate, 1.00 to1.51 parts of triethanolamine, 0.88 to 1.51 parts of ethylene glycol, 1.40 to 1.93 parts of glycollic acid, 0.51 to 0.54 parts of dibutyl phthalate, 5.26 to 7.02 parts of phosphoric acid and 62.96 to66.39 parts of water. Compared with the prior art, the accelerator has the advantages of favorable stability, low tendency to deteriorate and precipitate, higher retention rates of 1d strength and 28dstrength and the like.
