The invention discloses an antibacterial agent for a ceramic tile. The antibacterial agent comprises antibacterial oxide, antibacterial ions and a chelating agent. The antibacterial agent is applied to a ceramic tile product with a porous-structure surface, achieves a remarkable, lasting and stable antibacterial effect, and allows the ceramic tile surface to have good antifouling property; the rawmaterials of the antibacterial agent are easy to obtain; and the preparation cost of the antibacterial agent is low. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the antibacterial agent. Thepreparation method has the advantages of simple steps, strong controllability and stable finished product dispersion, and is beneficial for large-scale industrial production.
